Privacy Notice

This notice explains what information the service collects, why, and what you can do about it. The service is provided by Duncan Singh Sachdeva ("I", "me"). It is seva: nothing is sold, and there is no advertising.

What I collect, and why

The Wi-Fi password is never asked for on the request form.

The server is backed up every night and each backup is kept 30 days, so something deleted can stay in a backup for up to 30 more days.

I don't sell or share your information with anyone else, except if the law requires it or to protect the service or someone's safety.

Cookies

The committee page uses one cookie, only to keep you signed in. It is needed for the page to work. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Security

Information is sent over encrypted connections. Sign-in codes and session cookies are stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form, and access to the administration is protected. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, I'll tell you as the law requires.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of your information, for it to be corrected, or for it to be deleted, through the contact form. California residents have these rights under California law, and I extend them to everyone.

Children

The service is for Gurdwaras and their committees, not for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this notice changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date.
